Yankees Vs Brewers Results: Walk-Off Single Catapults Milwaukee To Victory

Yankees vs Brewers results: Milwaukee blows the lead in the ninth, only to come back and win it in the bottom of the ninth in a walk-off victory.

Mark Teixeira homered in the top of the ninth inning vs the Brewers on Sunday to tie the game at 5-5. The Yankees then sent out Adam Warrien, who allowed a double to Rickie Weeks, which was then followed by a Mark Reynolds walk-off single.

Starter Matt Garza had thrown 40 pitches and surrendered three runs in the top of the first inning, and Milwaukee's starting lineup was missing Ryan Braun, Aramis Ramirez and Jonathan Lucroy, according to MLB.com.

There were a ton of runs early, with the Brew-Crew scoring two in the third. They exploded for three in the sixth, but could not hold onto the lead.

K-Rod was on the mound for the Brewers, but could not get the save. Instead, he actually walks away with the win on the Sunday day-game. New York was down to its final strike in the top of the ninth, but Mark Teixeira kept the game going by blasting a full-count offering from Francisco Rodriguez over the right-field wall for a game-tying solo home run.
