Gibson's playoff-debut came with a win over a former Conn Smythe Trophy winner in Jonathan Quick.

"I saw that on a nightly basis all year, so that doesn't surprise me," said Ducks forward Devante Smith-Pelly, who scored in Game 4 after spending most of the season with Gibson and the AHL's Norfolk Admirals. "Knowing his personality, I knew he would be all right. He just goes out and plays his game. Never gets rattled. He just comes in and does his routine. He's so relaxed, like it's a preseason game for him."

Either way, the Ducks were down big, losing the first two games in the series at home. They showed a lot of fortitude with winning the next two games.

"For some reason, there was just a calm sense in the room," Ducks defenseman Cam Fowler told NHL.com. "We felt confident that we could come back. That's something that we strive for. We know that a lot of people were counting us out. We wanted to come in here and prove that we weren't going to go away slowly. That gives us a lot of confidence moving forward."

The Kings feel they need to do more to get to Gibson.

"We need to do more to get to him, obviously," Kings defenseman Drew Doughty said. "We gave him too many easy shots, and we didn't crash the net and get people in front of him. He played good, but we've got to do a better job."
