Katherine Heigl No Difficult Diva in New Trailer for `State of Affairs'; Most Hated Woman in Hollywood Katherine Heigl Stars With Alfre Woodard in Terrorist [VIDEO]

Katherine Heigl broke? Not after her new NBC deal. It's the terrorists who have to worry about getting broken by the most hated woman in Hollywood.

After a string of romantic comedies, Katherine Heigl is coming on strong in her TV comeback. State of Affairs won't be as gritty as Showtime's Homeland and the trailer gives too much away, but it does look like it knows how to amp up the suspense and thrills and chills.

Katherine Heigl broke through difficult maneuvers to come back TV in this new trailer. Katherine Heigl plays Charleston Tucker and Alfre Woodard plays President Constance Payton in the trailer of NBC's State of Affairs.

Katherine Heigl will officially be returning to television this fall as NBC has given a series order to her new show "State of Affairs."

Industry executives may have labled Katherine Heigl a diva who is "difficult" and "not worth working with," but it looks like that is past. The former "Grey's Anatomy" star will play Presidential analyst Charlie Tucker, who also has a personal relationship with the President, played by Alfre Woodward, because her son used to be engaged to Charlie Tucker until he died in a terrorist attack.

Heigl first made her name on TV as Izzie Stevens in "Grey's Anatomy." She won a Primetime Emmy award for that. But the haters still keep hating.

That started when Heigl described the Judd Apatow comedy "Knocked Up," in which she played opposite Seth Rogen, as sexist. She told Vanity Fair the film was "A little sexist. It paints the women as shrews, as humorless and uptight, and it paints the men as lovable, goofy, fun-loving guys." Heigl admitted "it was hard for me to love the movie."

Katherine Heigl recently did a voice the animated movie "The Nut Job." She hits the screens next in "North of Hell" with Patrick Wilson and "Jenny's Wedding" with Alexis Bledel and Tom Wilkinson.
