"You go back and look at what we were doing right and what helped our team to victories, obviously," Bruins defenseman Torey Krug told NHL.com. "But at the same time, I think it all comes down to preparation [Wednesday] and making sure we're ready to go, because that first 20 minutes is going to be a crucial part of the game. So you've just got to be ready for it."
There's nothing quite like a game 7 in the NHL playoffs. It's all left on the ice and only one team can escape victorious.
"It's going to be great," defenseman P.K. Subban told NHL.com. "I can't wait for the crowd, the noise, the energy in the building. I can't wait to take that all away from them."
Montreal has a win in Boston already in the series, so that's not a guaranteed loss. The Canadiens know that it can't be about fighting and to play their game and not get suckered in. Also, the Rangers went into Pittsburgh last night and won game 7, so it can be done.
"You can't beat the Bruins playing like the Bruins," forward Daniel Briere said. "I think they're probably the best at it. We have to be smarter. We'll have to take punches, we'll have to take slashes, we'll have to get hurt at times, and then that's when we're most successful, when we don't get into their game."
