Bearded Lady Confirmed For 'American Horror Story' Season 4 'Freak Show' Alongside Clown Killer: Former Cast Member Lily Rabe Joins 'The Whispers'

As "American Horror Story" season 4 gains momentum, several new "Freak Show" have been confirmed to grace the FX series.

During an interview with EW, creator Ryan Murphy let slip that "American Horror Story" season 4 is Jessica Lange's favorite concept yet.

"It was always a concept that Jessica and I talked about really early on. It was always her favorite one, which I thought was funny. I've had many different versions that I've run by her. I just love it. It feels really right."

Ryan Murphy also confirmed that despite earlier reports, "American Horror Story" season 4 will be darker in tone, much like "Asylum."

"If you have a character named the Clown Killer, it's going to be dark," said Murphy. "The most terrifying clown ever!"

The jury is out on what will play the Clown Killer, but many are theorizing that newcomer Michael Chiklis, who will play Kathy Bates' character's ex-husband, and Evan Peters' father.

In addition, the Bearded Lady will also be a part of "American Horror Story" season 4, with many contenders who can play that role, like Sarah Paulson, Gabourey Sidibe, Frances Conroy, Angela Bassett, Emma Roberts, and Jamie Brewer.

But one cast member who will definitely not be playing the Bearded Lady is Lily Rabe, who has moved on to new ABC series "The Whispers."

"Aliens have invaded Earth by using our most unlikely resource to achieve world domination—our children. As the kids unwittingly help these unseen enemies, the clock counts down in this suspenseful race to save humanity," says the official synopsis.
