Friends Reunion 2014: Jenifer Aniston Talks 'Rachel' Reunion; Friends Star, The One With the Hair, Says Rachel Hairstyle Took Work

Friends Reunion 2014: Jennifer Aniston, the Friends star with the hair, says that hair took a lot of work.

Jennifer Aniston's Rachel haircut was one of the most copied hairdos of the early 2000s. It became a trend among Friends fans and beyond. The Rachel haircut made Jennifer Aniston a TV icon. Jennifer Aniston might be thankful for the Rachel hairstyle, but it wasn't easy.

Jennifer Aniston says "'The Rachel' was one of the hardest hairstyles to maintain. Talking to ABC News, Aniston admitted "Me and the blow dryer and the hairbrush weren't meant for each other. It really was a 'hairdo.'"

When asked about all the attention Aniston gets for her locks, she told ABC News "It's funny and entertaining in a way and it's of course very flattering to say the least. But I always have such a chuckle when I hear people saying I have great hair because as a kid it was always a challenge."

Jennifer Aniston, who is engaged to the actor Justin Theroux, now admits that keeping her hair straight is a struggle. She said "I don't get a lot of product build-up with Living Proof and my hair doesn't get dirty straight away. I wash my hair with No Frizz Shampoo and Conditioner. And with PHD Styling Treatment I can air-dry and style my hair in 10 minutes, when it used to take 25 minutes."

Jennifer Aniston revealed that she has unruly hair.

Aniston owns her own hair care range, Living Proof. Over the weekend Jennifer checked out her new hair product store, Living Proof, in Boston and her hair was shorter and darker.

Jennifer Aniston has gone to the same hairstylist, Chris McMillan, for years. Sometimes Aniston gets hair and sometimes she gets a bob haircut.

"When Chris would style it my hair would be great, it would look gorgeous. But then when I was left to my own devices, it wouldn't look the same!" These days, the 45-year-old actress says she's "all about a low-maintenance approach," which includes only washing her hair every other day or every three days.

Aniston told the Boston Globe "The thing that makes me chuckle is when I hear that my hair is so this, or so that. My hair is always at odds with a brush and a hair dryer. To get my hair straight can be a struggle."
