According to Toonzone, The Legend of Korra Season 3 release date will be announced on July 2014 at the Comic Con in San Diego, California.

Legend of Korra fans are already excited for the San Diego Comic Con 2014, but if these reports are true, the much anticipated Legend of Korra season 3 release date will be announced.

Mir Studio, who makes Legend of Korra has not made any official announcement yet. Mir Studio did say that they finished Book 3 and are leaving it to Nickelodeon to make the announcement.

Michael Dante DiMartino, who is the animation director and co-creator of "Legend of Korra" recently posted "The title of Book 3 is going to be called 'Change.' It's all about Korra dealing with the change of the world in this point in time. At the end of Book 2 she says it's a new era. And it really is and we're going to show how Harmonic Convergence and her battle with Unalaq and Vaatu kind of shifted the world a bit."

Other rumors have appeared online. One says a beloved character will die in season three. Also, Katara, who gained prominence in "Avatar: The Last Airbender" is rumored to will die in season three of Korra.

Rumors suggest that "Legend of Korra" Season 3 is set for a July 1, 2014 premiere. But there have also been reports that the "Legend of Korra" season 3 (Book) titled "Change" is scheduled for release this summer and that the "Legend of Korra" Book Two titled "Spirits" will be premiered on Blu-ray and DVD on July 1.
