Brazil World Cup 2014 Song: ‘We Are One’ Rivalry? [UPDATE] Pitbull And Jennifer Lopez Song Gets Competition From Shakira

Pitbull and Jennifer Lopez's "We Are One" track for the World Cup 2014 is being compared alongside Shakira's "La La La" song-a rivalry on social media has developed between fans of both.

"Among the complaints from random people on the Internet was the idea that Shakira's 2010 World Cup anthem 'Waka Waka' was way better, and anyone with ears would probably agree that those people are right," UpRoxx.com writes.

"Fortunately, Shakira just so happened to release a new music video for the single 'La La La (Brazil 2014)' yesterday, and thanks to the fact that it also supports Activia's World Food Programme and its School Meals initiative, it's safe to say that this is now the real World Cup anthem."

But the Brazil World Cup 2014 song isn't all fans are buzzing about.

United States forward Landon Donovan is "very disappointed" after being cut from the US' Brazil World Cup 2014 roster, ABC News reports, bringing controversy around the team's squad lineup decision.

"It has been an honor and privilege to have represented the US National Team in three World Cups," Donovan wrote in a Facebook post about the decision.

"I was looking forward to playing in Brazil and, as you can imagine, I am very disappointed with today's decision. Regardless, I will be cheering on my friends and teammates this summer, and I remain committed to helping grow soccer in the US in the years to come."
