Lou Ferrigno Hulk Star Dead Rumors Untrue! Actor Very Much Alive, Responds To The Controversy

The Lou Ferrigno, Hulk star, dead rumors are definitely not true as the bodybuilder became a victim of a hoax. The former "Hercules" star responded to the controversy by posting on social media that he's very much alive.

According to Inquistr, the false news item regarding Lou Ferrigno, Hulk star, dead rumors appeared to be deliberate, with the hoaxters even making a bogus website that was designed to look like USA Today. The only difference is the URL ended with an ".es" which refers to a Spanish domain name.

The website also said that Lou Ferrigno isn't the first celebrity who was reported to have died. The list includes Leonardo DiCaprio, Jackie Chan, Jennifer Lopez and The Rock.

Lately, "Pawn Stars" cast Chumlee also became a victim of not just one, but two death hoax reports.

The fake news report said that the 62-year-old was killed in a "multi-vehicle crash between Santa Barbara and Goleta. Unlike the Onion, however, these bogus news articles-like the Lou Ferrigno, Hulk star, dead rumors-will link readers to a phishing site designed to install malware or viruses into their computers.

"Many death hoaxes originate on the site Media Fetcher, which allows users to enter a celebrity's name and sit back and watch as the site's algorithm generates a random hoax for that celeb," Inquistr said.

In this particular case, however, the Lou Ferrigno, Hulk star, dead rumors were started deliberately for a still unknown reason.

Meanwhile, Lou Ferrigno addressed the rumors by posting on his Facebook page: "I'm on my way to the bank. It's a great Wednesday, beautiful and sunny. I'm not dead. I'm still alive. Don't believe everything that you hear or what you read.

"Just want to say I love you so much. Thank you for your concern. Thank you all. I'm going to live a long time, kid!" Lou Ferrigno added.
