‘Gotham’ TV Series Spoilers: Characters Real People Without Super Powers; Showrunner Confident Show Will Surpass Batman Movies!

"Gotham" TV series spoilers are up and showrunner Bruno Heller has trumpeted that it's going to be a show about real people without superpowers and the way it's formatted will make it surpass the Batman movies.

When asked by Entertainment Weekly's InsideTV whether he's concerned about following Christopher Nolan's "Dark Knight" series, Bruno Heller said, "I'm not at all concerned."

In fact, he said that in terms of what director Danny Cannon and director of photography David Stockton have done visually, "Gotham" has the potential to "surpass the Batman movies."

"The movies are a very rigorous, kind of Germanic take on that world. They're visually stunning, but not particularly visually pleasurable. I would say this is much more on the street level of Gotham," he added.

Bruno Heller also dished out some more "Gotham" TV series spoilers as he said that the other characters who will be in the show aside from a young Jim Gordon are "Penguin, Riddler, young Catwoman, Alfred. Possibly Harvey Dent. Poison Ivy."

At some point, the Joker will also make an appearance but "he will be brought in with great care and a lot of thought."

The "Gotham" TV series spoilers trailer released by FOX showed Catwoman, Penguin, The Riddler and Poison Ivy as the main villains.

"I think what's cool about this take on Gotham is that you're seeing James in a way that you never really seen him before," "Gotham" TV series star Ben McKenzie said in the teaser video.

"The murder of the Waynes is the metaphorical breakpoint that plunges Gotham along a downward spiral that will ultimately manifest into people putting on costumes and going out seeking vengeance and justice," he added.

The "Gotham" TV series is a prequel to when the hot-tempered billionaire puts on the bat suit. It tells the story of rookie detective James Gordon (Ben McKenzie) who, two weeks into the job, finds himself trying to be a father figure to the young Bruce Wayne, cleansing the department of corrupt cops and dealing with supervillains.
