2014 NBA Free Agency Rumors & Predictions: Kevin Love Picks Phoenix? All-NBA Forward Wants To Be The 'Best Player' On A Championship Team! Suns Can Make Him Shine Brightest!

The 2014 NBA Free Agency Rumors & Predictions still begin and end with Kevin Love, but this time we have words from the man himself--and it seems like he has made his choice!

Kevin Love was a guest in Sports Nation and he responded safely to the controversial questions.

Of course, the burning question was where he would like to go. Amid raucous heckles from the crowd, he gave the safe response:

"My agent is handling everything at this point ... I'm hoping that everything works out for all parties involved. No matter what the outcome is, I just want to end up in a great place where I can win."

He mentioned that he was heading into his prime-his sixth NBA season and he's only 25 years old. He feels that he can, and should be competing at the highest level.

Another interesting question was his opinion over Flip Saunders' comments that "players have no right to be frustrated."

His diplomatic response: "Flip's a great guy. He was great for us last year when [Rick] Adelman was the coach, bringing us all together. It was his first time back with the team, and now he's taking over the coaching reins, and I congratulated him, talking with him, back and forth, and when he says something like that, same as when Ricky talked about me being a leader, I just continue to work hard, keep on the grind, and use some of it as fuel ... but what they said, it holds true, some of it."

One question that resonated was whether Kevin Love was ready to be the best player on a championship team. He answered: "I think so."

The question was a weighted one. They virtually asked him if he was going to form a big three in Chicago or Houston (where he would NOT be the best player) or even in Golden State. They are the perceived frontrunners in this contest. His answer implies that he still wants to be the man-but with a better supporting cast (or coach for that matter).

The Phoenix Suns can fit that description. They are a young team built on team play that lacked a superstar. While Goran Dragic reached the third team All-NBA, he is a point guard who can gladly defer to a star like Love. They also have Jeff Hornacek, who placed second to Gregg Popovich for Coach of the Year honors.

The Suns have the cap space to even sign another good free agent. They also have enough assets to remain intact even after the trade. There is also this tweet that implies that the Timberwolves wants to rebuild with high draft picks instead of current players.

If Love wants to be there and Minnesota likes their offer, then this might be a done deal.
