Once Upon A Time Season 4 [RUMORS]: 'Frozen' Cast To Unveil Plot After Disney Movie

As "Once Upon a Time" goes on hiatus before season 4 begins, rumors regarding the "Frozen" crossover arc have surfaced.

On June 7, it was confirmed by TVLine that Elsa, Anna, and Kristoff from the "Frozen" universe will join "Once Upon a Time" season 4, with still-unknown actors portraying the live-action version of these characters.

According to the official character descriptions, one of the rumors that is fairly confirmed is that "Once Upon a Time" season 4 will introduce the characters after the events of the Disney animated movie.

"The Queen of Arendelle, this late-20s/early-30s beauty long struggled to control her 'chilling' powers and even unleashed upon her town an eternal winter during her coronation," says the description for Elsa.

"He has a sometimes-gruff demeanor that can hide his deep love for Anna and her sister Elsa," says the description for Kristoff. "When we first meet Kristoff on 'Once,' he is adjusting to life at the castle — including sleeping indoors for the first time in his life."

Given Kristoff's description, it seems the story will take place fairly quickly following the events in "Frozen." And yet, the character description for Elsa is late-20s/early-30s—significantly older than that of the animated character.

"I don’t think they’re casting her as she was in the movie, but rather some years removed from the events of the movie," writes Michael Sacal on TVLine. "As if this was a live-action sequel to the animated movie."
