iPhone 6 Rumors: New iPhone With iPod Touch Design Compared With The Samsung Galaxy S5

More than a few thousand people were disappointed that they still can't prove or disprove iPhone 6 rumors when Apple chose to be quiet about its upcoming smartphones during its WWDC even a couple of weeks ago.

While the Cupertino manufacturer managed to unveil two brand new versions of its mobile and laptop platforms, no new devices were announced nor even hinted.

Still, rumored specs and details about the upcoming iPhone are pretty plenty. And in a new report, a prototype of the device has been pictured side by side with Samsung's current flagship, the Galaxy S5.

According to a report by GSM Arena, the iPhone 6 prototype, which has been in reports for months, is compared with one of the best Android flagships to date. So how does it stack up?

In the picture, we can see that the iPhone 6 is slightly smaller than the Galaxy S5, that's because it is rumored to pack a 4.7-inch display as opposed to the Samsung phone's 5.1 screen.

The Galaxy S5 has slightly slimmer top and bottom bezels compared to the Apple smartphone. On the other hand, the prototype iPhone 6 has thinner side bezels when seen side by side with the Galaxy S5.

Recent reports claim that the upcoming iPhone 6 would be launched on September 19. There will be two versions of the device as mentioned by a Foxconn press release. So far, only the 4.7 inch version has been popular while there are no details or even rumors about the 5.5-inch edition.

Rumored specs of the iPhone 6 include sapphire display, a new A8 chipset, the same 8MP camera but with improved performance, iOS 8 and a better Touch ID home button.

Aside from the iPhone 6, other anticipated devices from Apple include the iWatch, MacBook lineup, especially a thinner and more powerful MacBook Air, and the new iPads.
