Red Dead Redemption 2 Release Date: Sequel To Be Announced End Of 2014? New Title From Rockstar Games And Take-Two Interactive Coming To PS4 and Xbox One?

Red Dead Redemption 2 release date happening in the future. 

Last month, during the Cowen and Company Analyst conferment, Strauss Zelnick, the CEO of Take-Two, developer of Red Dead Redemption, hinted the possibility of a new game for the franchise. As cited on BreatheCast.com, he shared,

"I pretty much know the ones that I can assure you are permanent. It's obvious that GTA is a permanent franchise as long as we keep delivering this incredible quality; it seems quite obvious that Red Dead is a permanent franchise, again with the same caveat, or Borderlands, for example, and NBA and others. But not everything is going to be a permanent franchise. We can do very well even if it's not. I would like to see us grow with a couple more great franchises in the next couple years and we're launching Evolve; we have very high hopes for that."

As described on PC Advisor, Red Dead Redemption is an open-world western action-adventure game. The title was released in the market in 2010. Years before that, the original game from the Red Dead franchise, called "Red Dead Revolver" was launched. Particularly, it was launched in 2004.

Though there is no official announcements yet regarding Red Dead Redemption 2 release date, but as noted on the PC Advisor, strong indication that a new title will arrive in the future came from Rockstar Games.

Back in 2012, the GTA 5 maker shared that it had plans to release a new game in the Red Dead series. Rockstar shared, "We don't always rush to make sequels but that doesn't mean that we won't get back to them eventually. Stay tuned for further announcements about the future of the Red Dead series."

According to rumors about Red Dead Redemption 2 release date, Baird Equity Research analyst Colin Sebastian told that he's expecting the sequel to be announced by the end of this year.

As noted on Examiner, Take-Two Interactive has a new video game currently in the works at Rockstar Games but it was not specified whether this is the Red Dead Redemption sequel or an entirely different game.  Citing Digital Spy, the report mentioned that the project is currently for the next-generation consoles, the PS4 and the Xbox One. Furthermore, this video game, is scheduled to arrive before end of March 2015.
