iPhone 6 Specs: 4.7" And 5.5" iPhones Appear In Images, Get iPad Like Design With iPod Touch Edges

As we are approaching the mid of June, we still can't help but be disappointed that we didn't get to see any new iPhone 6 specs or other Apple devices for that matter during the WWDC 2014 event in California.

Still, rumors and leaks come flying from all corners of the globe, particularly through the Internet.

According to a report by GSM Arena, the new iPhones, prototypes or at least concept phones based on actual schematics of the new smartphones were pictured together for the very first time.

From what we can see from the image, the new Apple smartphones has inherited the build design of recent iPads, while getting the rounded edges of the iPod Touch.

As we can see from the image, the iPhone 6 will retain its metal build for the smartphone's frame. There are thin horizontal lines which go from end to end, which seems to aim for the classic look of earlier generations of the device. But for us, it looks out of place. Still, Apple will surely have a way to improve this appearance is are just concept phones.

To compensate for the bigger display, the new iPhone 6 (both 4.7 ad 5.5-inch versions) will have their power buttons moved to the right side of the device, just like what the Samsung Galaxy Note first did when it launched in 2011.

Other rumored specs of the new iPhones include a 64-bit enabled A8 chip, the new iOS 8 version which we already saw during the WWDC event, a sapphire display, and a reportedly improved camera, though some reports claim that it will be retained to just 8 megapixels for the primary shooter.

As we near the end of June and enter the third quarter of 2014, we are pretty sure more of these rumors, leaks and alleged spec details will surface to keep the iPhone 6 hype burning. We are also sure Apple won't open its mouth to confirm or deny speculations until the time is right.
