Nexus 10 2 Release Date Rumors: Next-Gen Tablet To Be Unveiled At Google I/O Conference 2014 On June 25? LG Going To Be The Manufacturer?

The rumor mill on Nexus 10 2 release date continues to churn as Google I/O Conference nears.

Citing Tech Radar, a report on Android Origin noted that the Nexus 10 2 "will be presented at the upcoming Google's I/O event." The developers' event is set to happen on June 25 - 26 in Moscone, San Francisco. And accordingly, the tablet is expected to be equipped with impressive specs to compete with Apple's iPad Air.

Some of the alleged Nexus 10 2 specs include the 10.1-inch screen with 2560 x 1600 QHD resolution and 330 ppi for pixel density, in addition to 8 MP rear camera and 2.1 MP secondary camera.

Moreover, according to Christian today, the Nexus 10 2 is expected to be powered by  2.3 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor or the NVIDIA Tegra 4, 3GB RAM and Adreno 330 GPU.

There is no official information yet regarding the Nexus 10 2 release date but there are also reports suggesting that the second-generation tablet might not happen anymore. This is because Google is planning to drop its entire Nexus line and replace it with Android Silver program.

Reportedly, the Android Silver will include more expensive gadgets that can compete with leading devices in the market such as the iPhone from Apple, as well as the Samsung Galaxy S devices.

But if Nexus 10 2 release date will still push through, fans can expect it to happen not anytime soon. As reported on AirHerald.com, industry insiders expect that Nexus 10 2 release date will be slated during the winter season of this year.

As for the possible manufacturer of the Nexus 10 2, the highly-rumored companies to take care of the second-gen tablet are HTC and Asus. However, there are also tech analysts suggesting that LG might be the one to manufacture the Nexus 10 2.
