But before proceeding with the actual installation process, there are some requirements that should be satisfied first. Since CM11 ROM based on Android 4.4.3 Kitkat update is an unofficial firmware, Xperia Z2 users planning to upgrade their device are advised to be extra careful.

One of the things to check before installing Android 4.4.3 KitKat update on Xperia Z2 is the battery level. The unit needs to have 80 percent battery or more before installing Android 4.4.3 KitKat update using CyanogenMod 11 ROM.

Also, there should be a backup of the data and settings stored on the Xperai Z2 as the installation process might likely wipeout the content of the phone. ClockWorkMod and TWRP are two of the highly-recommended recovery tools to use when making the backup.

Users also need to enable the USB Debugging mode on the Sony Xperia Z2 before installing Android 4.4.3 KitKat update.
