‘Prometheus 2’ Cast Michael Fassbender Gets Rave Reviews For ‘Frank;’ ‘Macbeth’ Co-Star Jack Reynor Confesses ‘Love’ For Him?

"Prometheus 2" cast Michael Fassbender received rave reviews for indie film "Frank" as his "Macbeth" co-star Jack Reynor confessed his "love" for the Irish actor. 

"Frank" was described by The Daily Telegraph  as an eccentric tale based on the story of Frank Sidebottom, a British musician who fronted a punk rock band while wearing a huge fiberglass head.

"It was a no-brainer, I could spend most days in my hotel room just watching pay for view television and send someone else in with the head," Fassbender told the publication. "It was a dream job."

Turning serious, he said: "I just like good stories and storytelling in whatever size or form that comes in, whether it's big like 'X-Men' or something very small like 'Frank.'"

Despite seeing very little of "Prometheus 2" cast Michael Fassbender's face in "Frank," the Los Angeles Daily News  calls the film "consistently ridiculous then sneakily, sadly moving look at an alternative rock band that may be the ultimate in artistic integrity or maybe just unlistenable. Or both."

"Lenny Abrahamson's movie is as bizarre as its subject matter, yet it really evokes the pain and egomania of pursuing pure creativity in a commercialized world," wrote Bob Strauss of the Los Angeles Daily News.

Meanwhile, "Prometheus 2" cast Michael Fassbender's "Macbeth" co-star Jack Reynor gushed about working with the 37-year-old actor.

"Michael Fassbender's my hero dude. I love that guy so much!" Jack said in an interview with Total Film magazine.

During the junket for "X-Men: Days of Future Past," last month Michael Fassbender confirmed that a sequel for the 2012 thriller "Prometheus" is in the pipeline. As to the question of when they will begin production, however, he simply doesn't know.

When asked by Collider about the prospect of working with "Prometheus 2" director Ridley Scott and he beamed, "For sure. I love Ridley, he's a master filmmaker."
