Amazon Phone Specs: Retail Giant's First Smartphone Is Ever Looks Nice, But Its Features Are Out Of This World

After months of speculation and rumors, the first Amazon phone with unique specs has finally been announced. And while it does look ordinary from the outside, wait until you check it outs awesome features.

According to the report by GSM Arena and Engadget, the device lived up to expectations in terms of specs. Dubbed simply as the Amazon Fire Phone, the smartphone runs on a version of Android. However, just like previous devices from Amazon, the phone does not run on Google services nor does it allow Play Store access.

Like what previous reports say, the Amazon phone features a 4.7-inch IPS display with HD (1280 x 720) resolution, a Snapdragon 800 chipset, a quad-core CPU clocked 2.2GHz, Adreno 330 for superior graphics performance, and 2GB of RAM.

However, what makes the phone revolutionary is its four sensors which are located in front. Through these sensors, the device is able to tilt the display in such a way that it looks like there is an entirely different world.

Using these tilt controls, users would also be able to launch certain tasks, apps and even functions within apps. For instance, when browsing the Web or reading an e-book, the user can tilt the device slightly and s/he does not need to scroll down anymore.

Another interesting feature is Firefly, where the Amazon Fire Phone's 13MP rear shooter is able to 'detect' almost any kind of object or product it captures. For example, just place any book in a table and take a picture of it, Firefly would immediately look for it in Amazon's online catalogue.

Aside from objects, the Amazon Fire Phone can also detect any sound from MP3 playlists and even dialogue from movies.

There are still a lot more that this Amazon phone has to offer and we haven't checked it out in full detail just yet.
