HTC One Wear Release Date, Price, Specs: Android Wear Powered Wearable Expected To Be Unveiled August 2014; Circular Face Panel Rumored

HTC One Wear release date, price, specs: The first wearable from HTC, the Android Wear-powered HTC One Wear, is expected to be arrived around late August or early September this year. Though no official photo of the smartwatch has been released, leaks show that it may have a circular face panel.

TK Tech News reported that it has seen the HTC One Wear in action in Taiwan and says that the design of the wearable is similar to what the Motorola Moto 360 can offer. The latter has been confirmed to launch “later this summer” during the Google I/O conference in San Francisco Thursday.

According to PC World, similar with HTC’s smartphone line-up, which includes plastic devices such as the HTC One E8 and the metal HTC One M8, TK Tech News noted that the HTC One Wear will be available in polycarbonate and metal versions.

It’s a possibility that the HTC One Wear may feature a combination of metal and plastic, potentially with a metal clock face and plastic strap. The TK Tech News site shared via their Instagram feed an image that clearly shows an HTC One Wear that is both metal and plastic. The photo is a prototype of the device and the image shows only one part of the HTC One Wear.

TK Tech News also showed the alleged interface of the wearable, the icons were labeled in Chinese, but when translated it means File Manager, Music and Remote Camera.

As for the pricing, no reports indicate on what the cost of the HTC One Wear maybe. It’s said competing gadget, the Moto 360 may have a pricing of $249. The Samsung Galaxy Gear is in the $299 price range. It will not be surprising if the HTC One Wear’s price will be similar.

HTC is best known for the design of these smartphones and it's expected that the wearable the company may produce maybe well-designed gadgets as well.
