New Windows Phones 2014: HiSense Launches Mira 6, Specs Incl. 5" Display, 8MP Shooter, Snapdragon 400

A few years ago, the Windows Phone mobile platform only had one manufacturer, Nokia. But since then, the OS showed continuous growth and new Windows phones in 2014 are released, this time coming from other manufacturers.

One of these is Chinese brand HiSense. The Windows Phone 8.1 update has specially encouraged other mobile makers to join the WP party because of its new features and functions, including the notification center, home screens which can now be customized, super fast swipe keypad, and the virtual voice assistant Cortana.

According to a report by GSM Arena, the mobile maker has recently launched its newest smartphone, and the first running on Windows Phone.

Dubbed as the HiSense Mira 6, the device is a midranger that boasts some pretty decent specs for a smartphone that is expected to cost just below $150, though no official pricing details are available yet.

So what makes the Mira 6 special? Aside from the fact that it is HiSense's first take on Windows Phone, it is also the first dual-SIM smartphone to run on the latest Windows Phone 8.1 version.

In the report, the Mira 6 packs a 5-inch display with probably HD resolution, a quad-core Cortex-A7 CPU clocked at 1.2GHz, Snapdragon 200, and Adreno 302 GPU for decent graphics performance.

Thankfully, the HiSense handset has a 1GB RAM to make things run smoother, and with 4G LTE support, it is already a great steal for people who love surfing the Web on the go.

Behind the device is an 8MP primary camera while there is a surprisingly high 5MP front cam for selfies and video calls through Skype. Also on board is a microSD card slot, Dolby sound, and a thin 7.18mm waistline.

The device is pegged for a release in China, and while international availability is high unlikely, we still keep our fingers crossed.
