Is Jennifer Lopez dating "DWTS" pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy after keeping in touch since the American Music Awards last November? Jennifer Lopez has reportedly undergone a 10-pound weight loss since she broke up with former boyfriend Casper Smart - is she heartbroken, or is it just one very effective diet?

Jennifer Lopez, 44, met "DWTS" dancer Maksim Chmerkovskiy, 34, through her friend Leah Remini and her "DWTS" partner Tony Dovolani, People magazine reports.

"He danced with her at the [American Music Awards last November] and they kept in touch," a friend of JLo's told the publication.

Another source who knows both Lopez and Chmerkovskiy added: "They are friends and have been talking."

Sources told The New York Post's Page Six that when Lopez met Maks in November, "they were definitely attracted to each other, but nothing happened between them." At the time, Jennifer was still dating former backup dancer Casper Smart and Maksim was dating model Kate Upton.

Lopez and Chmerkovskiy publicly crossed paths again at his brother Val's 28th birthday in Los Angeles in late March, People magazine reports. The singer "drank wine and snacked on pizza" before leaving the festivities at The Redbury Hotel after 1 a.m. Fox News reports she met Maksim at the hotel. Scandalous!

Meanwhile, JLo underwent a 10-pound weight loss since her break up from ex boyfriend Casper Smart. After dating for more than two years, the couple split a few months ago. While some may speculate she's been grieving, it's quite the opposite. Lopez started the 22-day non-dairy and gluten-free diet diet in April, and quickly shed 10 pounds, Extratv reports.

"People are used to seeing me be kind of thickish, but when I started eating [vegan], right away I dropped like 8 to 10 pounds," Lopez told Extratv.

The vegan diet was also famously adopted by Jay Z and Beyoncé, who referred to it as the "22-day Vegan Challenge."
