Miley Cyrus Bangerz tour special flopped on TV this weekend, after a year when Miley was riding high on the charts and saturating the airwaves and internet.

In spite of high expectations for the Miley Cyrus Bangerz Tour concert special that NBC aired Sunday at 9PM the show was a ratings flop.

The televized Miley Cyrus: Bangerz Tour only brought in 2.2 million viewers in the first hour, and it fell ti 1.85 million viewers in the second hour.

Miley Cyrus became part of the world's collective unconscious over the past two years, starting with the MTV VMA performance in 2013, through her string of sexy music videos and joint-smoking awards appearance. Miley's shock-value seems to be over.

On Sunday, NBC aired "Mily Cyrus: Bangerz Tour", which was a two-hour prime time event.

Miley still has about two dozen dates left on the Bangerz tour. Last year, Miley Cyrus was the most-Googled person in the U.S. Her Bangerz album hit Billboard at number one. Are we over it?

The Washington Post theorized that parents didn't let a lot of kids tune in to the special because they were afraid of the next Miley Cyrus attention grabbing stunt.
