g.o.d Yoon Kye Sang States He Is Touched And Happy To Be Reunited With The Group
Korea's iconic K-pop group g.o.d officially kicked off their 15th anniversary reunion concert in Seoul.
Member Yoon Kye Sang posted on his official fan café today to share his thoughts on the group's comeback.
"Our Seoul concert has officially ended. I was nervous and made some mistakes but our old memories helped us to pull through the concert," wrote Yoon.
The singer also thanked fans for being there for him through thick and thin and promised to work hard in both his music and acting career.
g.o.d held their highly-anticipated concert for 14,000 fans at the Jamsil Sports Complex in Seoul. The group performed their past hits, including "Road," "Friday Night," "Observation," "Sorrow," "Love and Memory," "I Don't Know," "Why," Again" and more during the course of their 150-minute concert, according to Allkpop.
The members also picked tracks from their eighth full-length album, titled "Chapter 8." Their track "Sky Blue Promise," which is on their most recent album, ranked No. 1 on the K-pop Hot 100 soon after its release, according to Billboard.
On the track, the members of g.o.d sing about how the group feels guilty about their 10-year-hiatus, but "is overjoyed about reuniting with fans." The title "Sky Blue Promise" refers to the band's official fan club color, according to the music magazine.
During the course of their recent concert in Korea, the members of g.o.d expressed what it was like to reunite after a decade.
"No one knows how hard it was for us to get here except the five of us. I am thankful to Yoon Kye Sang hyung for making this difficult decision. I am also sincerely thankful for everything. I really thank you from the bottom of my heart," stated Kim Tae Woo, who also produced the band's newest album.
g.o.d will perform for fans in Gwangju, Busan, Daegu and Daejeon for a total of eight concerts.
"We will always [find reasons to] smile and laugh no matter what," stated Son Ho Young to the audience towards the end of the concert.
