Moto X+1 Release Date In September? New Motorola Smartphone Will Bear Phablet Status And Come With Android L?

For months, we have been hearing about Motorola's upcoming flagship device, but little do we know about the Moto X+1 release date as of now.

In a new report by the Ecumenical News, the Moto X+1 is said to be launched in September, though we still have to see for ourselves.

September would be a very competitive month in the smartphone world as a number of world renowned manufacturers are expected to unveil their respective flagships.

Apple will announce its 4.7 and 5.5-inch iPhone 6 phones, Samsung would unveil its Galaxy Note 4 phablet, and Sony will announce its new Xperia Z3 which is tipped to make an initial launch in the US.

These manufacturers are top notch, and the devices they would release would certainly lure in most of the market. Still the Motorola Moto X+1 can still become a good contender.

According to rumors, the Moto X+1 release date will also see the launch of the new Google Android version, Android L. This means the upcoming Motorola smartphone could very well run on the latest version. This is certainly plus points for Motorola.

For a manufacturer which has been recently a part of Google, Motorola could still be getting timely Android support, which is certainlya a must-have in any smartphone today.

In addition, the new Motorola smartphone is tipped to be a phablet, which means its display would go beyond 5 inches. The screen is also rumored to be a Super AMOLED display with Full HD resolution.

Other alleged specs of the Moto X+1 include a 2GB RAM and 64GB of internal memory. There's no word about the camera resolution just yet, but expect it to be a 13MP primary shooter just like the ones in the LG G3.

We'll have to see which of these rumors are true in the coming weeks and months.
