BlackBerry Q20 Release Date: BB Improves Web, Media Browsing, Battery Life; ‘The Classic’ Set To Be Released This November

BlackBerry Q20 release date: BlackBerry is all set to bring in the big guns this year.

This November, the Canadian phone company will launch the BB Q20, or the BlackBerry Classic, along with the BlackBerry BES12 as the two flagship models that will go head to head against Apple’s iPhone 6, which is also set to be released the same month.

The public is aware of the decline of the sales of BlackBerry devices since the dawn of the large touchscreen Apple and Android handsets. And after retaining its trademark keyboard and function keys, the company targets its small market of QWERTY users.

"It's an updated and enhanced version of one of our most popular and successful products called the Bold. It will include a keyboard and a good touch-screen, very fast Internet, Web-browsing capability and multimedia capability. But also it will be very productive and very secure. So, all the familiar things that people love, with some new technology updated,” Chief Executive Officer John Chen said in an interview with USA Today.

USA Today also reported that the Q20’s body is quite similar with its brothers in the Bold series. According to the company’s press release, the Q20 is already equipped with the BlackBerry 10 OS, which assures a better quality experience.

With a 3.5 inch touchscreen display, the BB Classic sports an improved web-browsing and multimedia capability. It is also said to have the longest battery life from all the BlackBerry devices in the market.

Ensuring user-friendly ergonomics, the Q20 also features its trademark buttons such as 'Menu', 'Back', and 'Send', and 'End' buttons. It also has a smooth track pad for navigation. Users can also take a look at all their messages in the BlackBerry Hub.

All these features makes the BlackBerry Q20 a future game changer for the company.
