iOS 8 Beta 5 Update Release Date On Monday, August 4? Apple To Provide One More Beta Version On The 15th Before Launching The iOS 8 GM?

iOS 8 beta 5 download release date might be set for next week.

BGR.com reported that the iOS 8 beta 5 update release date might happen on Monday, August 4. Furthermore, it seems that the end of the beta testing cycle for the iOS 8 is almost over. According to the post, Apple is set to release one more beta firmware update after the iOS 8 beta 5 and after that, the Cupertino tech firm will be preparing for the launch of the iOS 8 GM.

In addition to the iOS 8 beta 5 update release news, reports are also claiming that the final test version of the iOS 8 - the beta 6, is slated for August 15.

Meanwhile, tech fans can expect the iOS 8 GM (Gold Master) or the final version to arrive several weeks after the iOS 8 beta 6 release. As described on The iPhone Wiki, "A golden master build (GM) is typically the final build of a piece of software in the beta stages for developers."

The iOS 8 beta 4 is the current mobile Apple test firmware available for developers. It was released on July 21 and it currently showcases a new feature, the Tips app, as reported on DesignNTrend.com.

The Tips app for iOS 8 provides Apple users tricks and shortcuts "to take advantage of some of the features they may not have known how to use," as described on the post.

As noted on Tech Crunch, the Tips app can teach the users "how to respond to an iMessage right in an iOS 8 notification and how to operate Siri without pressing a button"

BGR post also noted that the iOS 8 beta 4 is, so far, the most stable and smooth out of all the releases, offering bug fixes discovered from previous beta release.

Stay tuned for more news about the iOS 8 beta 5 update release date, as well as the arrival of the iOS 8 beta 6 and the iOS 8 GM.
