Ghostbusters 3 Movie Release Date: New Female Leads To Take Over Franchise! Story To Have A Major Twist? Bill Murray Says Goodbye To The Upcoming Sequel

Ghostbusters 3 movie is in the works! While, no release date has yet to be announced Sony Studios is actively preparing for the planned sequel.

Hollywood Reporter claimed that the studio is already in talks with "Bridesmaids" director Paul Feig to helm the third installment to the movie and that it will feature an all female cast taking on paranormal activities.

While, no confirmed cast or crew has yet to be announced it has been reported that Feig is the number one candidate for the planned project following Ivan Reitman's (Ghostbusters and Ghostbusters II) exit when original member Harold Ramis died.

Reitman on the other hand, is still on board to produce the third sequel in collaboration with Gene Stupnitsky and Lee Eisenberg's storyline.

The plot has been altered though following the death of Ramis, which paved way to an all female cast group.

According to reports, Ghostbusters 3 release date will probably land sometime on 2016 as the film is about to start production on early 2015.

Bill Murray refused to reprise his role as Dr. Peter Venkman while, Dan Aykroyd is still willing to return as Dr. Raymond Stantz. Ernie Hudson, who is known for his character Winston Zeddmore is in doubts as he was quoted saying, "There can't be another Ghostbusters without Harold."
