The NBA Trade Rumors are almost at a standstill with the Kevin Love - Andrew Wiggins waiting game. It seems final already, as the Minnesota Timberwolves owner Glen Taylor pretty much spilled the details, and practically closed the door to other suitors.

In a statement to the St.Paul Pioneer Press (via twincities.com):

"I think when you move somebody like Kevin, who's been an All-Star, that you've got to get a number of players on your team that have the potential of replacing him. Flip [Saunders, Wolves president and coach] has looked at this team and offensively, he's got a pretty good team. Defensively, it's got to be better, so I think that's where some of the areas will be replaced."

He clarifies the statement though: "I'm saying it's most likely because Kevin has made it pretty clear that that's what he wants to do," reiterating that if it were up to him, he would keep Kevin Love.

Meanwhile, former Minnesota College Star and LA Lakers star who was once a top NBA draft pick himself, points out that Love should not be condemned.

The father of Klay Thompson, who was the Timberwolves main target at Golden State but was not released by the team, added: "Kevin's got the leverage, and he's no different than anybody else in the workforce in America who's always looking to better their job situation. "

Just like most of the free agents this summer, they have earned the right to think about what's best for them. In Kevin Love's case, he didn't have to wait for his player option. He was simply that good.

"There's nothing wrong with that. This is free enterprise at it highest example, and nobody should begrudge Kevin of looking for a better situation because whether you're a pro athlete or an average working Joe, we all do this in our professional lives. He's just doing what millions of Americans do every day."

With the date set, it simply means that Andrew Wiggins is the center of the deal. Anthony Bennett will also be Minnesota bound. The side deal of Thaddeus Young for Dion Waiters is still in flux, but the two teams still have nineteen days to iron out the details.
