After more than a year of delays, Chris Brown announced his sixth album "X" will drop September 16. According to Billboard, the singer has been ramping up excitement for his new album since 2013, releasing singles including the Lil Wayne collab "Loyal" and the most recent single, "New Flame," featuring Usher and Rick Ross. A video for the latter is set to premiere this month, Rap-Up.com reports.

"X" album will likely be followed by a tour, according to HollywoodLife.com.

"The tour will be in conjunction with the album and that will happen this year!" the publication wrote, suggesting that Chris Brown will go on tour in 2015.

After all of Brown's legal troubles following his assault of ex girlfriend Rihanna, which resulted in spending a significant time in jail, this album will likely serve as the singer's comeback to the music industry - we'll have to see if he can compete after everything he's been through.
