Kevin Love Trade Now Under 'Handshake Agreement'? Cavs And Wolves Deal To Include Sixers In 3-Team Trade?

According to a report by Brian Windhorst of ESPN, the Kevin Love trade is already 'done', but not in the official sense of the word.

In a report by The Score, Windhorst reports that the Cavs and Wolves have already had a 'handshake agreement' for the Wiggins-Love deal.

"The deal is done, but not done. The teams have agreed, but they can't say they've agreed, and they can't agree because we're in this weird moratorium period because you can't trade Andrew Wiggins until the 23rd [of August]."

So while the deal is considered 'done' as far as the two parties are concerned, nothing can still be made official until Wiggins becomes eligible to be traded by the end of August.

In a separate report, the Wolves has been reported to trade the All-Star forward by the end of August, so that alone fits perfectly with the Wiggins deal. However, there are also reports pointing out that Love may still be testing free agency next season regardless which team he will end up.

In the report, the deal would not be exclusive between Minnesota and Cleveland. In the report, the Sixers are reported to be in the mix.

In the three-team trade, Cleveland will send Wiggins to Minnesota and 2013 first overall draft pick Anthony Bennett to Philadelphia, the Sixers will send Thaddeus Young to the Wolves, while Minnesota will send Love to the Cavs.

Right now, there are no further details whether the Cavs will send another first round draft pick to Minnesota. But one thing is clear, the two parties have agreed more or less.

We just have to wait until the 23rd, when Wiggins can officially be traded to Minnesota. Meanwhile, teams which are still trying to get the double-double machine can still prepare their offers to make a final shot.
