LeBron James Meets Cleveland Cavaliers' Head Coach; King James Has Slimmed Down As He Won't Play Power Forward Anymore! Is That Role Reserved For Kevin Love?

The Cleveland Cavaliers gambled on a new face as its head coach. David Blatt has an impressive international record, but critics thought LeBron James would not play for a newbie coach. LeBron James has been surprising us lately, and his recent, slimmed down built hints of more changes to come.

ESPN confirmed the changes in the King's physique:

"Blatt saw a thinner James at their meeting. James has been focused on cutting his weight by reducing his carb intake since the end of the NBA Finals, and he has lost more than 10 pounds. James' thinner frame was noticeable in some photos he posted on his Instagram account earlier this week."

Why would LeBron James trim down? It's hard to imagine why the best player in the world would need to make some changes. He has been very effective as a versatile "four" when he was in Miami. Does this mean he is reverting back to his initial role in Cleveland-that of a quick scoring small forward?

The trade between Kevin Love and top rookie Andrew Wiggins is all but finalized. There are still some details to be ironed out, but one thing has been settled: Kevin Love is going to the Cavs and because of this, James no longer needs to play the four like he did in Miami.

James also used his transcendent influence to fill out much of the Cavs roster. He has 'recruited' Mike Miller and James Jones while still in the process of convincing Ray Allen. Apparently, he is also part of the Cavs' effort to acquire Shawn Marion, who was a big factor in the Dallas Mavericks' 2011 Championship run. Marion is one of very few players who can boldly say that they have successfully defended (or limited) LeBron James in a playoff series.

Details of the meeting with Coach Blatt have yet to be divulged at this point.
