Nokia Lumia 930 Review: Is This Flagship Nokia Device Worth The Switch To Windows Phone 8.1?

For the past few years, Microsoft has envisioned Android and iOS users switching to its own mobile platform. Nothing close to that dream happened. However, the upcoming Nokia Lumia 930 review could be the closest Microsoft and Nokia would get in persuading smartphone users to make the switch.

The phone runs on Windows Phone 8.1 which was announced back in April. While the Nokia Lumia 930 took more than two months to be released internationally, that timeframe is still decent in the smartphone industry.

Aside from the cool features of the latest version of Windows Phone, is there anything worth noting at with the hardware where it is running?

Many would argue that the switch to Windows Phone can be partial and cheaper, with other emerging Windows Phone-powered devices getting announced, and at cheaper prices for that matter.

So how does the Nokia Lumia 930 separate itself from the small competition in the WP-influenced market?

First things first - the Lumia 930 has the best display in the market today, of course aside from the Lumia 1520 which packs the same resolution, but a bigger display. At Full HD, Microsoft and Nokia have finally caught up with the market where most high-end devices get 1080p resolution.

The camera is another department we can look at. While the Lumia 1520 gets the same 20MP PureView snapper at the back with CarlZeiss optics, the Lumia 930 should work better because of the new camera features which are included with it from WP 8.1 out of the box.

Running a Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset with quad-core CPU and 2GB of RAM, the Nokia Lumia 930 is the fastest Windows phone in the market today. If 512MB of RAM is all WP-powered phones need to run smoothly, you can only imagine how fluid screen animations and smooth gameplay are in the Lumia 930.
