Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Specs Include 16MP ISOCELL Camera? 5.5" QHD Display Also On-Board

Yesterday, Samsung sent out invites to its Unpacked 2014 event where we will finally see the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 specs in the flesh. But now, we just have to be content with all the rumored specs floating around the Web.

According to a recent report by GSM Arena, the phablet will get a smaller display size in contrast to previous rumors. Instead of the 5.7-inch display which graced the Galaxy Note 3 last year, the Note 4 will only get 5.5 inches of screen real estate.

That means for the first time in the Galaxy Note lineup, the successor will get a smaller display compared to the previous generation model. The first Galaxy Note phablet boasted a 5.3-inch display, the Note 2 packed a 5.5-inch screen, while the Note 3 had a 5.7-inch display.

However, it is the first time the Galaxy Note series gets a display beyond Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution. Just like in previous rumors, the Galaxy Note 4 would pack a whopping QHD or 2K (2560 x 1440) screen and paired with Samsung's staple Super AMOLED display.

In addition, rumored Samsung Galaxy Note 4 specs now include a 16MP ISOCELL camera instead of the Sony-made version seen in the Galaxy S5. The primary shooter is capable of recording 2160p video at 30fps and 1080p at 60fps. Meanwhile, the front-facing camera has been tipped to get QHD resolution (3.68MP).

On the chipset side, the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is rumored to get a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 or the Exynos octa-core chipset, depending on the version of the device. Like most flagships launched later this year, the upcoming Samsung phone is expected to come with 3GB of RAM, making it a beast in the multi-tasking department.

The Unpacked event is fast approaching and we'll see which of these Galaxy Note 4 rumors pan out to be true.
