While performing at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, Zayn Malik stepped onto the stage with a new haircut and without his usual scruffy beard. His hair looked shorter and was styled up in soft spikes.

His new hairstyle comes just days after he showed off long, floppy hair and a stubbly beard when partying with Jemima Khan at London's Chiltern Firehouse.

Looks like he wanted to clean up his style before the big concert at MetLife Stadium! Or maybe Perrie Edwards had had enough of his unshaven look.

One Direction fans on Twitter set him compliments via the social media website.

"Dear Zayn Malik, I honestly want to say that you really look very handsome without your beard," one fan said, according to Now magazine.

Another captioned a photo of Perrie Edwards' fiance: "ZAYN MALIK ARE YOU EVEN REAL."
