Upcoming Sony Phones 2014: New Leaked Shots Show The Xperia Z3 Compact As The Thinnest Sony Smartphone Ever

With just a few more weeks before the IFA event in Berlin kicks in, we get more details about one of the upcoming Sony phones for 2014, namely the Xperia Z3 Compact.

A new report from GSM Arena points to new leaked images which allegedly belong to the miniature flagship which would be launched alongside the Xperia Z3.

In the image above, we can see that the top and bottom bezels of the device have been significantly trimmed to give the smartphone more of an iPhone look rather than an Xperia one.

The side bezels are also thinner than ever before, which only means Sony could be releasing its thinnest Xperia smartphone yet. It only goes to show that the Japanese manufacturer have already heeded the call of its fans and consumers.

For the past couple of years, Sony has often received negative reviews on the aeshtetics side when it comes to its side, top and bottom bezels. Hopefully, this will certainly be the case.

The Xperia lineup's gorgeous and stylish design would surely work with a thinner and more compact frame.

In the camera department, we can only see a series of X's for the camera resolution. In spite the 'hidden' specs, we assume that the new Xperia Z3 and Z3 Compact smartphones would get the 20.7MP sensor that has become a staple in previous high-end offerings from the Japanese company. The same sensor graced the Xperia Z, Z1 and Z2 and there are certainly no reasons to change this if it already works in the market.

With all of those details already out, the report is still undecided whether this is actually the Sony Xperia Z3 Compact or the flaghip Xperia Z3.

We'll bring you more juicy details in the coming weeks.
