English Premiere League champion Manchester City want Vincent Kompany to finish his career with the team and have offered him a £60million deal, the Daily Mail reports.

The update follows rumors claiming Manchester City coincided the deal with the pick-up of Eliaquim Mangala, another defensive player.

Vincent Kompany has long been heralded as one of the team's most important players.

"Much of his excellence stems from an exquisite reading of the game. Kompany regularly snuffs danger out before it can develop, whether it be via a last-ditch sliding tackle, lunging block or towering header," Bleacher Report writes.
