Miami Heat Roster Looks Better Now In 'Big Two' Era Than LeBron-Led Squad

Many would argue that the Miami Heat roster for the upcoming NBA season is certainly depleted, thanks in part to LeBron James' decision to head back to Cleveland and build his own dynasty with the help of Kyrie Irving, and Kevin Love whose trade is all but a matter of time.

However, Heat president Pat Riley is not in any way content in his team's cry, and in a matter of weeks, transformed it into a warcry - a goal to reach the Finals, and even win it all without the help of the world's greatest basketball player.

Even before James made Decision 2.0, Riley already had a few people added on the Miami Heat roster, namely steady scorer forward Danny Granger and stretch forward Josh McRobets.

James' departure indeed left a gaping hole in Miami's roster, but many would agree that it's what made things even more interesting.

Instead of moving on to Houston to team up with his own big three consisting of James Harden and Dwight Howard, Chris Bosh decided to become the centerpiece of Miami's offense for the upcoming NBA season. Elite and former All Star Luol Deng has also joined the fold in a rather cheaper deal than what the NBA expected.

Deng's perimeter offense and defense would certainly help the Heat recover from the huge loss left by their main man for the past four years. Deng can also play extended minutes as seen from his stint with the Bulls during the absence of superstar Derrick Rose.

Finally, Wade re-signed with the Heat and now officially teams up with Bosh towards a season that would arguably define their careers. The pressure is certainly heavier on Bosh, who hasn't won a championship 'on his own'. On the other hand, Wade already had a taste of the NBA title even before his two friends joined him in 2010.
