If you are a smartphone manufacturer that has a best-selling phone, what would you do? In the case of Xiaomi, you release more versions of upcoming Xiaomi phones for 2014 based on that phone. 

And that's exactly what the Chinese manufacturer had in mind after it released a new version of its Xiaomi Mi3 flagship, almost a year after it was first announced. 

According to a report by GizmoChina, the device will be an exclusive for China Mobile, and interestingly come with slightly different specs than the original. 

If you have been paying attention to specs details lately, the Xiaomi Mi3 packs a 5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution display, 2GB of RAM, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chipset, quad-core CPU, and a 13MP and 5MP primary and secondary cameras. The phone comes in either a 16GB or 64GB version. 

Now, interested consumers, particularly those who are China Mobile subscribers can get a version of the Mi3 that's exclusive to their local carrier. 

Donning a green paintjob, the new Xiaomi Mi3 handset gets a diffferent chipset running in its system. In the report, it packs an NVIDIA Tegra 4 processor, and a secondary camera that is only 2MP in resolution. The phone will reportedly arrive in China Mobile stores at 1499 Yuan or just around $245.

However, there's a catch: this green monster only offers a 16GB built-in storage option without any microSD card slots for possible expansion. 

Dubbed as 'dynamic green', this version of the Xiaomi Mi3 will have specs which will be the same as the original, save for the processor and camera. 

Xiaomi Mi3 now has more color options, with one getting a different processor and front camera as well. The previous Xiaomi flagship comes in a number of color options such as sky grey, white, silvery grey, rosy red and bring yellow.
