The Fault In Our Stars Tops Teen Choice Awards; Shailene Woodley Encourages Fans to Be Themselves

MTV 16th Teen Choice Awards: Several surfboards representing several awards were given to "Fault in Our Stars" stars, Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort as they dominate the MTV 16th Teen Choice Awards in Los Angeles, Sunday. The movie was given the Choice Lip-Lock for Woodley and Elgort's romantic smooch and Choice Drama Awards.

"I feel pretty honored to be accepting this award on behalf of women. Further she told fans, "The truest form of bravery and of courage is to be ourselves. You do you. I'm gonna do me," Woodley expressed her gratitude for being awarded as the Choice Movie Actress.  In a past interview with TIME Magazine Woodley never wanted to be labelled as feminist but in the Teen Choice Award speaks in behalf of women.

She was also given the Action Movie Actress Award for her outstanding portrayal of Beatrice Prior, one of the characters in "Divergent" a 2014 sci-fi film taken from the novel of the same name written by Veronica Roth.

Elgort was also given a Choice Drama Movie Actor and Breakout Movie Star Award while Woodley was famous for her Choice Drama Award for their heat-rending acting in "The Fault in Our Stars."

When the stars are made to talk about their awards, Elgort jokingly told the crowd "I don't surf or anything. So I guess I'm gonna put this on my wall."

Meanwhile, David Sutherland received a loud applause from the crowd when he was voted as the Choice Villain award for his outstanding performance in 'The Hunger Games'. When made to speak, Sutherland brings out his signature lines "I have brought you souvenirs from Panem. They're berries... I wouldn't eat them if I were you."

The Teen Choice Award is said to be based from some 165 million votes from teens who cast their votes online by logging in the MTV Website.
