'Better Call Saul' Trailer Released: AMC Has Already Ordered Season 2 Of 'Breaking Bad' Spinoff Starring Bob Odenkirk [VIDEO]

AMC has released the first footage from the the highly anticipated "Breaking Bad" spin-off, "Better Call Saul" Over the weekend. "Better Call Saul" is staring Bob Odenkirk as the direputable lawyer Saul Goodman.

Last month, AMC announced that the show's timeline would overlap with that of "Breaking Bad" making it something other neither a prequel or sequel, but a parallelquel. "One of the great things about having a time line which is flexible is that perhaps some of it takes place before Breaking Bad, during Breaking Bad, and after Breaking Bad. That gives us the ability to bring back characters that were killed on Breaking Bad," executive producer Peter Gould told the New York Daily News.

Jonathan Banks who played Mike Ehrmantraut on the original show will also be joining Better Call Saul as a series regular. Bryan Cranston has also dropped hints that Walter White could also have a cameo.  Cranston also plans to serve as director for at least one episode of the new show, telling The Daily Beast, "It's family. They've got the same crew, and it's exciting to think that we can rekindle that flame; that it's still alive."

The TV spot is the first proper clip we have seen from the spin-off prequel, albeit an upsettingly short one, and was snuck into AMC's Breaking Bad marathon showing over the weekend.

"Lawyers? We're like health insurance, you hope you never need it but man oh man, not having it? No!" Saul is seen telling an unknown character in a bar, sporting a fuller head of hair than usual.

Better Call Saul will find the crooked lawyer going under the name James M. McGill, an Irish identity he used before switching to a name more suitable "for the homeboys"

AMC has already greenlit season 2 before season one has aired. The reasons behind this is that "Breaking Bad" is already a household name, and AMC is loosign a lot of its top earning shows like "Mad Men" this year.

According to the new promo, "Better Call Saul" will debut in February 2015.
