Motorola Moto X+1 Release Date Leaked: Smartphone Also Called Moto X2 Has New Leaked Photos, Specs, And Rumors [PHOTO]

Motorola's Moto X+1 finally has an official release date of September 25 according to sources at Droid Life.

Motorola's official announcements have said the Moto X will arrive "late" summer, and the latest word is that we'll officially see it on September 25, so, the absolute last possible day that is technically still summer.

That's according to sources speaking to Droid Life, who claim that US network Verizon is expecting the new phone release date "by September 25".

That doesn't guarantee that September 25 is the earliest release date we'll see it, as there's always a chance Verizon could get it a bit later than other US carriers.

"Sources of ours have confirmed to us that Verizon is currently expecting the new Moto X by September 25," reads the article.

DroidLife also pointed out that the handset come possibly come sooner on 'other carriers' before Verizon, although the date isn't expected to be wildly different in any case.

Just two weeks ago we saw some leaked snaps of what was purported to be the Moto X+1, revealing a wood-panelled rear plate.

We're expecting the Moto X2 to tout a 5.1-in 1080p display, a Snapdragon 800 CPU, 2Gb of RAM, 32Gb default storage, a 2900mAh li-ion battery, a 12MP rear-facing camera, and a 5MP front snapper to boot.

Here are some rumored specifications of the Moto X+1 from The Epoch Times:
