NBA Rookie Of The Year 2015: Jabari Parker Leads The Predictions But Andrew Wiggins Has A Big Chip On His Shoulder!

The NBA Rookie of the Year 2015 will not be an easy choice. This is one of the most talented draft classes in the past decade and it's not just because of one or two prospects. Two of them stand out, but they are not the only ones.

Jabari Parker is acknowledged as having the best combination of skill and luck. He is stepping into the perfect team with the Milwaukee Bucks. They need an NBA ready scorer right away and Parker fits the bill.

His fellow rookies agree on this notion. A recent survey was conducted by NBA.com on the rookies and they voted overwhelmingly for Parker.

However, there is an argument that the vote was not fair to Andrew Wiggins. At the time of the survey, Wiggins was still believed to be part of the Cleveland Cavaliers. He would not get enough opportunities in that situation because he would be playing behind LeBron James, who recently left Miami to play for his hometown.

That situation has changed as Andrew Wiggins is bound for the Minnesota Timberwolves as part of the Kevin Love trade. The Timberwolves will be missing all 26 points and 12 rebounds from Kevin Love, both Top Five numbers.

The Timberwolves will now have a young team anchored on Ricky Rubio a pass first point guard. With Wiggins and the Timberwolves' own pick, Zach Lavine they could give the Clippers a run for the Lob City title. Wiggins also looks like a young man on a mission after his awkward experience with the Cavaliers.

The ESPN Summer Forecast for this category has Jabari Parker finishing with 195 votes from the ESPN forecast panel. Wiggins was second with 119. The third place finisher is Nerlens Noel, a pick from last year which sat out the season due to injury. Noel is an imposing defensive center, but the award is usually centered on the offensive performers. Perhaps he can deliver that, too since the Sixers need help on all frontiers.
