Nina Dobrev dating Kellan Lutz rumors have been dismissed at the recently concluded 2014 Teen Choice Awards in Los Angeles. The two were tasked to present the "Choice Movie Actress" award but instead of standing close beside Dobrev, the "Hercules" actor started to move away from her.

When the "Vampire Diaries" actress asked Lutz, he said he needed to distance himself as getting close to her might only flame dating rumors. Following the event, the "Expendables 3" actor further joked about the incident.

"5 feet radius rule Nina! Haha," he posted on Twitter. Nina Dobrev and Kellan Lutz both starred in the film "The Killing Games" in 2011 wherein Dobrev gushed about the hunk.

"The Killing Game is an indie action film that Kellan stars in, and he blows it out of the park. It's his movie and he kicks ass in it," she told MTV.

However, when asked about her chemistry with Lutz, she merely said: "All the vampire shows all kind of ended up at the same functions and the same events, and so we all kind of know each other."

Meanwhile, it was previously reported that a drama might ensue at the Teen Choice Awards 2014 for Ian Somerhalder would attend the event with his new lady love, Nikki Reed.

Despite Ian Somerhalder's newfound love, one friend of Dobrev told Hollywood Report that the Bulgarian beauty accepted the fact wholeheartedly. The "Let's Be Cops" actress reportedly does not have ill feelings towards her former beau and finds it satisfying that Somerhalder ended up with one of their mutual friends.

Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder will be continuously seen in "The Vampire Diaries." For the show's sixth season, their tandem will be challenged because in the fifth season's finale, the Other Side collapsed with Bonnie (Kat Graham) and Damon (Somerhalder) in it.

It is yet unknown whether Damon and Elena will reunite. "The Vampire Diaries" season 6 will start airing on October 2.
