Blackberry Passport: Release Date, Specs And Features: Pre-Registration Begins For The New Device

BlackBerry Passport is a new phablet with a physical QWERTY keyboard and a unique square design, instead of the typical rectangular design.

It should be noted that the Blackberry Passport is now available for pre-registration.

The BlackBerry Passport release date is scheduled on September. Interested buyers who would like to have the first set of BlackBerry Passport phablets should register online on the website of the company which opened for registration last August 7.

However, pre-registration online is not pre-ordering, it is just a matter of informing the company's site that the user conveys their interest on the said device. While for pre-order, buyers can contact the company via email.

Furthermore, on specifications, BlackBerry Passport has a 4.5-inch square display with screen resolution of 1440 x 1440 pixels and 453 ppi pixel density.

The handset is backed up with an awesome 3450 mAh battery unit and runs in BlackBerry 10.1 OS, empowered by a quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor with a 3 GB of RAM and expandable up to 64 GB via microSD card. 

The device feature a 3-row physical QWERTY keyboard towards the bottom of the device. Moreover the keyboard doubles as a trackpad or touch-enabled keyboard. However the 3-row letters will not come with punctuation marks and numbers. These only appear on virtual keys that is available on the screen of the device.

Other specifications include a nano-sim support, weights 6 ounces, and has a 13 MP on primary camera and 2 MP on its secondary camera.
