Upcoming Motorola Phones 2014: New X+1 Flagship, Moto 360 Smartwatch And Moto G Successor Arriving On September 4

If you are continuously tracking down the latest and upcoming Motorola phones in 2014, then you better check this out.

The Lenovo-owned phone manufacturer has already sent out invites to its press event during the IFA showcase in Berlin. As if the IFA event isn't already packed with smartphone and device announcements, Motorola decided to join the party.

So what would the company offer this time around?

According to a report by GSM Arena, the device maker will announce its upcoming flagship, the Motorola Moto X+1, the successor to its highly-profitable midranger, the Moto G2, and the Moto 360 smartwatch which will run on Google's Android Wear.

There is a also a bluetooth headset included in the invite so we'll expect a number of Bluetooth-enabled accessories from Motorola.

The IFA event will be packed with new smartphones from the likes of Samsung and Sony. The Korean giant will unleash its new Galaxy Note 4 phablet and an expected smartwatch, while the Japanese manufacturer is set to release its Xperia Z3 and Z3 Compact.

Motorola has been trying so hard to release devices which would be at par with the best in the business today. The Moto X+1 is certainly a promising flagship as it reportedly packs a Snapdragon 801 chipset, 2GB of RAM and a 13MP camera.

Meanwhile, the Moto G2 will still retain the Snapdragon 400 chip of the previous generation, as well as 1GB of RAM. However, there will be a slight bump in display size to 5 inches, and a higher resolution 8MP primary camera.

We'll wait and see whether Motorola has what it takes to finally catch up to these big Android manufacturers.
