Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 VS. LG G Pad 8.3; Specs Of Android Powered Slabs Pitted; Which 8-inch Tablet Would You Go For?

Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 vs. LG G Pad 8.3: Specs of the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 and LG G Pad 8.3 both bear similarities and some differences, but mainly these two Android tablets are considered well-designed and at par with what a user may expect from a flagship device.

Both the LG G Pad 8.3 and Samsung Galaxy Note 8 have their own advantages against each other and we look at what advantages one device have over the other in this review.

LG G Pad 8.3 wins over Samsung Galaxy Note 8

One look won’t be enough to determine the differences between the two gadgets. The features of the tablets’ hadrware are very similar and you need to have the device in close range to see the minimal difference in their length. One the displays are on and active, you’ll notice that the the LG G Pad 8.3’s extra centimeters on the screen is quite obvious. Despite the 0.3 difference between the Note 8 and the LG tablet, the difference in size is visible.

The LG G Pad 8.3 also bears an edge over the quality of the display. TravelersToday wrote that the Note 8 has a good 1280 x 800 display with 189 pixel density, but the LG G Pad 8.3 has a higher 1920 x 1200 display that has a 273 pixels per inch. When you put the two gadgets side-by-side, it’ll be easy to see the world of difference in their display quality.

Camera-wise, both units have front-facing and rear-facing snappers. Both Android tablets have a 5MP back-facing camera and 1.3MP front-facing shooters. The units are also capable of capturing 1080P videos at 30 fps. The LG G Pad 8.3, however, has more photo-enhancing modes than those found on its Samsung’s counterpart. The 5MP camera of the LG G Pad 8.3 has a back-illuminated sensor, high dynamic range mode, and voice activation; all of which can't be found on the Note 8.

In terms of under the hood specs, the LG G Pad 8.3 wins over the Note 8 in various respects. Specs of the tablet include a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor, which clocks in at 1.7GHz. The Samsung Galaxy Note 8, on the other hand, has a less powerful Exynos 4 quad-core 1.6GHz processor.

Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is a tablet that commands a very loyal following and to this day it continues to receive rave reviews from its users. What sets it apart from the LG G Pad 8.3 is that it is a note/tablet hybrid, complete with its own stylus and pen. The S Pen is an added feature that makes the Note 8 as more than just another device where swiping and gloves-free hands are needed to interact with the device. The S Pen has in itself a number of functions that enhances a user’s overall experience.

The Note 8 also comes with TouchWiz UI – an impressive user interface available in most of the South Korean tech giant’s newest devices.
