‘Dancing With The Stars’ Derek Hough To Have ‘Nashville’ Appearance; Emmy-Winning Choreographer Opens Up About His Memoir

It has been confirmed that "Dancing with the Stars" veteran Derek Hough would have an appearance in "Nashville."

As per the representatives of the show, the 29-year-old will be playing the role of Noah West who is about to encounter the music scene of Nashville for the first time. The episodes featuring "Dancing with the Stars' pride Derek Hough is expected to come out in October.

It won't be the first time for Nina Dobrev's ex-boyfriend to have an acting experience. He previously starred in dance flick "Make Your Move," stage production "Footloose: The Musical," and also in comedy show "Better than You."

He currently sits as one of the pros of "Dancing with the Stars" and will be returning for the show's 19th season which will start airing on September 15.

Apart from his "Nashville" appearance, Hough is also busy in promoting his memoir "Lessons from a Life in Motion." The book tells the struggles he underwent since he started dancing at the age of 11.

"The reason why I call the book 'Lessons from a Life in Motion' is because those lessons are meant to be learned, and re-learned. These lessons are meant to be re-applied and re-embodied," he told ABC News.

The award-winning choreographer also said that he had to go back to some of the painful moments of his life including those times when he was bullied as a teenager.

In the same interview, he also gives a piece of his wisdom for those who want to do things but are hampered by their fears: "If you feel like you have to wait until you're ready, you're never going to do it. So throw yourself into things and trust you'll find a way."
