Barclays Premier League: Wes Morgan sets his ambition

Leicester City captain Wes Morgan finally set to recognize his ambition of playing in the Barclays Premier League at the age of 30. His side host Everton in the 2014/15 season opener on Saturday 16th of August.

The centre-back guided Leicester to the Championship title last term, just a year after their promotion hopes finished in spectacular fashion when a missed penalty by Anthony Knockaert was followed immediately by a victorious goal from Watford deep into stoppage time at Vicarage Road that sent them to defeat in the play-off semi-finals.

After eight-and-a-half years at Nottingham Forest, before the fusion in Leicester last January of 2012, Morgan is relishing the prospect of his Barclays Premier League debut.

"It's been a long time coming and for it to be so close now, with only a few days left before the campaign begins. I'm just excited - I can't wait for it to begin", Morgan told premierleague.com at the Premier League's Season Launch. "To be playing in the Premier League is something everyone should aspire to. I have always wanted to achieve it and it's one of the best feelings for me."
