Miami Heat Roster More 'Balanced' With LeBron Gone? Can Big 2 Return To NBA Finals?

The Miami Heat roster, in spite getting all the working pieces to work with Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh, can still be considered depleted.

However, one can argue how important it is for Miami, especiall Wade and Bosh to make a return trip to the Finals without their former priced superstar.

Fortunately, it can also be noted that talent-wise, the team which appeared in the Finals for the past four seasons, still has the same level of talent. The only difference is that LeBron's talent and gifts have been evenly distributed through the three main acquisitions of South Beach in free agency.

As far as scoring is concerned, especially on the midrange and three point categories, former Pacer Danny Granger and veteran swingman Luol Deng may be offensively close to James' level as a duo. In terms of LBJ's perimeter defense, Deng is a lockdown defender who can drive opposing stars.

As for stretch power forward Josh McRoberts who also have a notable offensive game, it is more of his passing from the post that gets attention. While it is nowhere near James' ability to hit open guys from almost anywhere in the court, it is a welcomed filler to a gaping hole.

As for everything else, the Heat still have Wade and Bosh who are still considered elite players and top 10 in their respective positions.

However, two factors will be critical: Wade's health and Bosh's ability to lead the charge as Miami builds around him.

Wade has been plagued by several knee injuries in the previous seasons, primarily caused by his type of basketball. He will have to create more shots on his own, and improve his jump shooting immensely in order to play at a high level every game.

Some key players such as Mario Chalmers and Chris Andersen are also making a return, and with them comes championship experience. They also have to prove that their recent trips to the Finals are not only James' making.
